Ursula Klein

I have come to be a therapist from a nursing background. In my nursing years, I qualified and worked in oncology, midwifery, psychiatric nursing, which included 2 years in a drug and alcohol unit, and last in palliative care as the charge nurse of a hospice.

The Self Psychology model is in tune with my ideals and purposes.

After years of being with people at the end of their lives, often witnessing their regrets and unfinished business and helping them come to a more peaceful death/transition – I felt a strong calling to work more with people before they reach this point, who still have a lot of living to do with opportunities for a fulfilling life. So I re-trained as a therapist in the early 1990s – to assist people to grow a strong whole self, a self that is able to love self and others; a self that is able to find and action a purpose that gives meaning to their lives; a self that can play and be creative.

My work has also led me to a deep interest in spiritual development.
